“We Are Not Celebrities When We Lose Our Loved Ones,” Lady Du Breaks Down Speaking On Mpura And Killer Kau. The recent news of Mpura and Killer Kau’s death came as a shock to people, while their industry mates have found it difficult to process these news.

Lady Du was allegedly the first person to announce and share the passing of Mpura and Killer Kau Making her trend on social media, however, she later deleted the post. She also broke her silence as she went live on Instagram breaking down about the passing of the two sars. Lady Du mentioned that their status doesn’t matter when it comes to losing their loved ones. “We are not celebrities when we die, we are not celebrities when we lose our loved ones. Personally, I am not a celebrity guys,” she said while crying.

She is one of the industry mates that have been finding it hard to accept the passing of the amapiano stars as she has worked with them. The pair were involved in a fatal car accident, on their way to a gig. Specific details about the deaths remain unclear at this stage.

Mpura came up recently during the rise and takeover of the amapiano genre, having been part of great collabos that gave Mzansi hits such as Umsebenzi Wethu. The then 19-year-old musician Killer Kau on the other hand, went viral after he uploaded a video with his song on the TL. DJ Euphonik spotted his talent on Twitter and took him under his wings. When Tholukuthi Hey became a viral hit, Killer Kau became one of the most seen faces on  TV and his deep voice was one of the most heard on the radio.

Rapper Riky Rick also took to his Instagram to bid farewell to Mpura, saying: “Rest In Peace our Mpura. You were the happiest person in every room, your spirit was what we needed in our lives, selfless, humble and loving. Love you so much my brother. Thank you for everything you did while you were still here. Gonna miss you so much bro. Im sorry your journey had to end like this. Condolences to the family and the friends, we loved you so much bro. Lala Kahle.”
