In an industry driven by high-energy performances, demanding schedules and the constant pressure to deliver hits, Amapiano vocalist and hitmaker Tman Xpress has revealed how faith and prayer help him remain grounded while navigating the music business.
Born Tsiliso Molokol, the singer has continued to make his mark on the South African music scene, with his hit single “Remember”, featuring Mellow & Sleazy, gaining traction on local charts and radio stations. Despite the growing attention surrounding his music, Tman Xpress says his spiritual beliefs remain central to his journey.
For the vocalist, faith is not something he only turns to when life becomes difficult. Instead, it is a daily practice that influences his approach to music, performances and the decisions he makes throughout his career.
While fans often attend Amapiano shows expecting energetic sets and memorable moments, Tman Xpress approaches his performances with a deeper purpose. He believes his music carries a message rooted in spirituality, faith and belief in God.
“I bring spirituality,” he revealed. “That is what I am always bringing to the stage, my songs are for church, we’re talking about God and belief.”
His approach highlights the spiritual element that he believes forms part of his musical identity. Rather than separating his faith from his career, the vocalist embraces it as something that accompanies him whenever he performs.
Tman Xpress also explained that prayer remains an important part of his preparation and helps him maintain his spiritual alignment throughout each show.
“I pray before the performance, I pray during the performance, and I pray after the performance,” he shared. “It is what keeps me aligned.”
Beyond spirituality, Tman Xpress recognises the importance of taking breaks from the demands of the entertainment industry. With studio sessions, travelling and live performances forming part of an artist’s routine, finding time to disconnect can be essential for maintaining creativity.
The singer explained that stepping away from music allows him to recharge mentally before returning to work.
“You can’t always be doing everything that’s connected to music,” he said, adding that playing games and watching movies help him unwind.
His favourite way to switch off is playing PlayStation, which gives him an opportunity to temporarily escape the pressures of the music industry.
“It takes a different shift for my mind and my creativity to give it a rest. It works wonders for me,” he explained.
Through prayer, faith and intentional rest, Tman Xpress demonstrates how protecting his spiritual and mental well-being remains an important part of sustaining his musical journey.
