South African Amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles continues to expand her influence beyond music after being named one of the cover stars for The Manor’s second annual Denim Issue, created in collaboration with G-Star RAW South Africa.
Titled “The ARC, Our Way” and carrying the campaign hashtag #OwnTheArc, the October 2026 issue celebrates individuality, movement and self-expression through fashion. Uncle Waffles shares the spotlight with DJ and producer DESIREE, who features on the issue’s second cover.
The collaboration places Uncle Waffles at the intersection of music, culture and fashion, reflecting her growing presence as an artist whose influence extends beyond the dance floor. Known for her energetic performances and distinctive style, she has continued to build an international profile while representing South African music on global stages.
At the centre of the campaign is G-Star RAW’s reimagined ARC denim silhouette. The design serves as more than a fashion statement, becoming a metaphor for movement, performance energy and the individual paths people take in defining themselves.
Through #OwnTheArc, the campaign encourages a celebration of personal identity and creative freedom. These themes connect naturally with Uncle Waffles’ journey in the music industry, where her performance style and artistic expression have helped distinguish her within the global Amapiano movement.
The issue was photographed and creatively directed by Trevor Stuurman, whose visual approach brings the fashion concept to life, with Neo Nametso serving as executive producer. Together, the creative team presents a collaboration that brings together fashion imagery, cultural expression and the personalities shaping contemporary creative spaces.
Uncle Waffles’ appearance on the cover also follows her recent performance at the official G-Star RAW ARC Denim launch event. The DJ delivered a high-energy set that captivated the crowd, bringing the same stage presence that has become a defining part of her live performances.
Her involvement in both the campaign and launch event highlights the connection between music and fashion, two industries that increasingly draw inspiration from one another. For artists such as Uncle Waffles, clothing can become another way to communicate identity, confidence and creative vision.
The partnership with The Manor and G-Star RAW South Africa gives the Amapiano star another platform to showcase her style while participating in a campaign built around individuality. Sharing the issue with DESIREE also brings together two influential women in electronic music, each contributing her own perspective to the project.
As the Denim Issue rolls out in October 2026, “The ARC, Our Way” positions personal expression at the heart of its message. For Uncle Waffles, the cover marks another notable moment in a career that continues to move across music, fashion and international culture.
