South African musician Tracy has officially released her long-awaited EP, AZALONDWE, marking another step in her musical journey as she continues to establish herself as a solo artist. The 2026 project brings together her personal experiences, determination and passion for music in a short story about the realities of life and the hustle required to pursue one’s dreams.

The EP arrives following Tracy’s split from fellow musician Thatohatsi, with the release offering her an opportunity to focus on her individual artistry and showcase what she brings to the music scene on her own. While collaborations remain an important part of the project, AZALONDWE places Tracy’s journey and creative identity at the centre of the experience.

At the heart of the EP is Tracy’s alter ego, Queen Dilika, whom she presents as a hustler navigating life’s challenges while remaining committed to her passion for music. Through this identity, the project reflects the struggles, sacrifices and ambition that come with chasing success in a competitive industry.

Rather than simply serving as another addition to her catalogue, AZALONDWE carries a personal message about perseverance and the determination to keep moving forward despite the obstacles that may arise. The concept of Queen Dilika gives the project a defining identity, connecting its themes of hard work and ambition to Tracy’s artistic journey.

The EP also features contributions from Sly, Bassie, Sykes and other artists, bringing a collaborative element to the release. Their involvement adds variety to the project while allowing Tracy to explore different creative partnerships throughout the tracklist.

Although the release highlights her individual direction, the guest appearances demonstrate that collaboration continues to play a role in her musical development. The combination of her own artistic vision and contributions from fellow musicians gives AZALONDWE a broader musical identity.

For Tracy, the release represents an opportunity to keep building her name and demonstrate her commitment to her craft. Stepping forward with a solo project after her split from Thatohatsi places renewed attention on her individual ambitions and the direction she wants to take as an artist.

With AZALONDWE, Tracy is putting Queen Dilika’s hustler mentality into the spotlight, sharing a project rooted in life’s struggles, hard work and an enduring love for music.

As she continues to carve out her own path in the South African music industry, fans now have the opportunity to support this new chapter by streaming AZALONDWE and discovering the story behind Queen Dilika.
