South African music producers Makwa, Malagosh and Kwiish have joined forces to bring their single “Gomora” to life with the release of its official music video, celebrating the culture, resilience and unmistakable spirit of Alexandra Township.

Featuring Mshengu, Sjijo and Vocalkat, “Gomora” goes beyond being a musical release. The track serves as a heartfelt tribute to Alexandra, affectionately known as Gomora, a township with a rich cultural identity and a long-standing influence on South Africa’s music scene.

The release of the visuals gives listeners an opportunity to experience the story behind the song through scenes that reflect the atmosphere and everyday life of the kasi. By bringing the streets of Alex into focus, the music video reinforces the connection between the track and the community that inspired it.

Alexandra has long been recognised for its vibrant culture, resilience and creative energy. Over the years, the township has contributed to the development of various South African music movements, with its streets and communities providing inspiration for artists across different genres.

With “Gomora”, Makwa, Malagosh and Kwiish pay homage to that legacy, placing Alexandra at the centre of their creative expression. The song captures the spirit of a place where music, community and identity remain closely connected.

The music video further strengthens that message by embracing the kasi atmosphere associated with Alex. Rather than simply accompanying the song, the visuals help communicate its meaning, allowing viewers to connect with the setting and the people behind the story.

The presence of the artists and featured collaborators throughout the video also brings the collaboration to life. Makwa, Malagosh and Kwiish are joined by Mshengu, Sjijo and Vocalkat, whose involvement adds to the collective nature of the release.

The collaboration highlights how music can celebrate a community while giving its culture a platform to reach audiences beyond its immediate surroundings. For listeners familiar with Alexandra, the visuals offer a recognisable connection to the township, while those discovering it through the song can experience a glimpse of its character.

The title “Gomora” carries a strong sense of place, making the music video an important extension of the track’s message. Through its kasi-inspired visuals, the release invites viewers to appreciate the township’s energy and the stories that continue to shape its identity.

Makwa, Malagosh and Kwiish are giving fans another reason to revisit the single, with the official music video offering a visual celebration of Alexandra.

Fans can now watch the “Gomora” visuals featuring Mshengu, Sjijo and Vocalkat and take a musical journey through the streets and spirit of Alex.
