Amapiano heavyweight Kabza De Small has postponed the release of his highly anticipated album, Tutu, with the project now expected to arrive on September 25, 2026.

The album was initially scheduled for release this coming weekend on August 28, making the announcement a disappointing development for fans who had been counting down the final days to one of the biggest Amapiano releases of the year. However, while many listeners may be heartbroken by the additional wait, it is believed that there is a reason behind Kabza De Small’s decision to push back the release.

Interestingly, neither Kabza De Small nor his management has released an official statement explaining the postponement. Fans only became aware of the change after checking the Amapiano star’s Spotify page, where the album countdown had suddenly shifted from six days to 33 days. The new date now points to September 25, giving supporters another four weeks to wait for the full project.

At the time of writing, Kabza De Small’s iTunes page had yet to reflect the changes, leaving Spotify as the main indication that Tutu has officially been postponed.

Despite the delay, fans have already received a generous taste of what the forthcoming 13-track album could sound like. Kabza has released five songs from the project over the past few months, each offering a different glimpse into the musical world he is preparing to unveil.

The released tracks include “Impilo” featuring Mkeyz, “Khanya Njalo” with Zawadi Yamungu, “Ume Nami” with Nobuhle, “Ifa Lami” featuring Sykes, Anzo and Tshego AMG, as well as “Papta” featuring Chronical Deep and Latique.

Together, these singles have built significant anticipation around Tutu, with listeners eagerly waiting to hear how the remaining eight tracks will complete the album’s story. The songs have also given fans clues about the sonic direction Kabza De Small may be exploring, blending his signature Amapiano production with a diverse selection of collaborators and vocalists.

While the postponement will undoubtedly test the patience of his loyal supporters, the extra waiting time could make the eventual release even more exciting. Kabza De Small has built a reputation for delivering projects that dominate conversations and shape the Amapiano landscape, meaning expectations for Tutu remain incredibly high.

For now, fans will have to wait a little longer. The feast may have been delayed, but all eyes are now firmly set on September 25, 2026, when Kabza De Small is expected to finally serve up Tutu.
