South African Amapiano star Musa Keys will no longer be performing at the Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival, which is scheduled to take place at Donnybrook Park in Harare, Zimbabwe, on July 4, 2026. The festival organizers have officially updated the event lineup, confirming that the award-winning artist has been removed from the bill ahead of the highly anticipated event.

The news was confirmed after the organizers released updated promotional material reflecting the revised lineup. While no detailed explanation has been provided regarding Musa Keys’ removal, the announcement has sparked conversations among fans who were looking forward to seeing the South African hitmaker perform in Zimbabwe.

Despite the change, the Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival is set to proceed as planned. Organizers have reiterated their commitment to delivering an unforgettable winter entertainment experience, with a renewed focus on showcasing Zimbabwean talent. The festival aims to celebrate local music, storytelling, food, and outdoor culture while creating a vibrant atmosphere for attendees.

The decision to prioritize local artists aligns with the festival’s broader vision of promoting Zimbabwe’s rich creative industry. Although Musa Keys’ absence will undoubtedly disappoint some fans, organizers remain confident that the revised lineup will deliver an exciting and memorable event.

Musa Keys has become one of South Africa’s most recognizable musical exports over the past few years. Born and raised in Limpopo, the singer, songwriter, and record producer first gained attention with his early release “Samarian Boy,”which introduced audiences to his distinctive blend of Amapiano, Afro-pop, and soulful melodies.

However, it was his breakout single “Vula Mlomo” in 2021 that propelled him into mainstream success. The song became one of the biggest Amapiano records of the year and went on to receive Double Platinum certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). Since then, Musa Keys has continued to expand his influence through numerous successful collaborations and performances across Africa and internationally.

Known for his smooth vocals, infectious melodies, and polished production, Musa Keys has built a loyal fan base that continues to support every new release. His contributions have played an important role in taking Amapiano to audiences around the world, helping establish the genre as one of South Africa’s biggest musical exports.

Although fans in Harare will no longer get the opportunity to see him perform at this year’s Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival, there is little doubt that Musa Keys will continue making waves with future performances and new music.

As the festival approaches, attention now shifts to the updated lineup and the talented Zimbabwean artists who will headline the celebration. Meanwhile, fans of Musa Keys will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on his next moves as the acclaimed musician continues his successful journey in the African music industry.
