Award-winning singer and songwriter Azana is proving that her talents extend far beyond the recording studio. The celebrated vocalist has officially entered Miss South Africa 2026 and has already secured a place among the competition’s Top 24 contestants, marking an exciting new chapter in her career.

Known for her powerful voice and soulful music, Azana has become one of South Africa’s most admired artists over the past few years. Now, she is stepping into the world of pageantry with hopes of making a lasting impact and inspiring others through her journey.

The Miss South Africa organisation recently introduced its Top 24 contestants and confirmed Azana’s place among the hopefuls competing for the coveted crown.

“Introducing the #MissSA2026 Top 24. Meet Makhosazana Azana Masango, 25, from Ndwedwe, representing KwaZulu-Natal. A musician, model and philanthropist, her EYA initiative focuses on Community Upliftment,” the organisation announced.

For many fans, Azana’s inclusion in the competition comes as no surprise. While she is best known for her music, she has also established herself as a model and philanthropist, using her platform to create positive change in communities. Her EYA initiative, which focuses on community upliftment, reflects her passion for helping others and making a meaningful difference in society.

Born Makhosazana Princess Masango, Azana rose to fame through her exceptional musical talent. Raised in Chesterville, KwaZulu-Natal, she began pursuing music at the age of 15 and quickly developed into one of the country’s most promising artists.

Her breakthrough came after signing with Big City Dreams, leading to the release of her debut studio album, Ingoma, in 2020. The album debuted at number one in South Africa and showcased her unique blend of Afro-pop, soul, and contemporary African sounds. The project’s lead single, Your Love, became a massive success and earned double-platinum certification from the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).

Now, with a successful music career already under her belt, Azana is embracing a new challenge through Miss South Africa 2026. Her participation highlights the growing number of women who are breaking boundaries and pursuing excellence across multiple industries.

As the competition progresses, supporters will be eager to see how she performs on the pageant stage. Whether through music, modelling, philanthropy, or pageantry, Azana continues to demonstrate determination, versatility, and ambition.

With her inspiring story and commitment to community development, she is undoubtedly one of the contestants to watch as the road to the Miss South Africa 2026 crown unfolds.
