Busta 929 and Smaki 08 are gearing up for a major musical moment as they prepare to release “Langelihle,” the lead single from their highly anticipated collaborative album, Amazwi Omdabu. The song is scheduled to drop on June 19 and will serve as the first taste of a project that promises to celebrate African heritage, culture, and identity through music.

The acclaimed Amapiano stars have built strong reputations for creating music that resonates with audiences across South Africa and beyond. Now, they are joining forces for a project that aims to tell deeper stories while remaining rooted in the sounds that have made them fan favorites.

Announcing the release, the duo shared their excitement about the upcoming journey.

“The wait is almost over! The lead single, ‘Langelihle,’ featuring Kayla Praise, Ag’zo & Makwande.sa, drops this Friday, 19 June. This is the first offering from the highly anticipated Amazwi Omdabu project — a celebration of our roots, culture, and the stories that shaped us.”

The announcement immediately generated excitement among fans who have been eager to hear what the two hitmakers have been creating behind the scenes. With Busta 929 known for his ability to produce chart-topping records and Smaki 08 continuing to establish himself as one of the genre’s exciting talents, expectations for the project are already high.

“Langelihle” features a talented lineup including Kayla Praise, Ag’zo, and Makwande.sa, artists who are expected to add their unique styles and vocal contributions to the song. Their involvement suggests a record that blends powerful storytelling with soulful musical elements.

While the lead single arrives on June 19, fans will not have to wait much longer for the complete experience. The full Amazwi Omdabu album is set for release on June 29, giving listeners a chance to immerse themselves in a project designed to honor heritage and tradition while embracing modern sounds.

The title Amazwi Omdabu, which translates to “Voices of the Ancestors” or “Voices of Heritage,” hints at a body of work deeply connected to cultural identity and the stories passed down through generations. It is a theme that aligns perfectly with both artists’ passion for creating meaningful music.

As anticipation continues to build, many believe Amazwi Omdabu could become one of the standout Amapiano projects of the year. The combination of rich storytelling, cultural pride, and high-level production creates the perfect foundation for a memorable release.

For now, all eyes are on June 19 as Busta 929 and Smaki 08 officially begin the journey with “Langelihle.” Fans are encouraged to pre-save the single and prepare for what promises to be a powerful musical celebration of sound, heritage, and identity.
