South African amapiano star Boohle has found herself trending online after screenshots of alleged WhatsApp conversations between her manager and an event promoter began circulating on social media.

The viral screenshots reportedly show a conversation between an event promoter attempting to book Boohle for a performance in Muldersdrift in September 2026 and a man identified as her manager, Rock. The discussions quickly sparked controversy after many social media users accused the manager of responding rudely and unprofessionally during the booking negotiations.

According to the leaked chats, the promoter initially reached out to inquire about Boohle’s availability for the event but allegedly experienced delayed responses. The situation reportedly became more tense when the promoter was quoted a booking fee of R80,000 despite previously being told that the artist’s booking fee was around R30,000.

The screenshots further showed several responses from the manager that online users described as “cheeky” and dismissive, causing widespread criticism across social media platforms.

Many South Africans expressed concern that such interactions could negatively affect Boohle’s reputation and potentially cost her future bookings if promoters begin feeling uncomfortable working with her management team.

One of the strongest reactions came from music industry commentator @TheAudioLabSA, who shared thoughts on the situation online.

“Sometimes the biggest challenge for an artist isn’t competition, but the people handling the business around them,” the post read.

The statement continued by suggesting that there have been growing concerns from some industry figures regarding professionalism when attempting to secure bookings through Rocksolid management.

“A manager is supposed to make business easier, build strong relationships, and create opportunities for the artist — not become part of the frustration,” the post continued.

The commentary also questioned whether Boohle’s manager may be struggling to balance managing the artist while also focusing on his own DJ career.

Social media users quickly joined the debate, with many advising Boohle to address the situation before it affects her career and relationships within the entertainment industry. Some fans defended the singer, saying artists are not always aware of how their managers communicate behind the scenes, while others insisted that professionalism is essential in the music business.

Despite the backlash, neither Boohle nor her management team has officially responded publicly to the circulating screenshots at the time of writing.

Boohle remains one of the most respected vocalists in amapiano, known for delivering hit songs and soulful collaborations that continue to dominate playlists and charts. Over the years, she has built a strong fanbase thanks to her vocal talent and consistent presence within the South African music scene.

However, the controversy has sparked important conversations about artist management, communication, and professionalism in the entertainment industry. Many fans now hope the matter can be resolved privately before it causes lasting damage to relationships between artists, promoters, and event organizers.
