A fresh Amapiano anthem titled “Amahemhem” is set to hit streaming platforms on Friday, 3 April, bringing together an exciting lineup of talents including Airburn Sounds, Mulest Vankay, Mellow & Sleazy, Officixl RSA, and vocal contributions from Scotts Maphuma and Boontle RSA. The upbeat single promises to light up dance floors while delivering a playful message aimed at gossipers and rumour spreaders.

The new track follows Airburn Sounds’ recent successful releases including “Tshwala” with B33kay SA, Blacko featuring DJ Njabsta and CPT Switch, as well as “Crush Yam” alongside Mawhoo and Boontle RSA. With “Amahemhem,” the producer continues to build momentum, tapping into the vibrant and energetic spirit that has helped Amapiano dominate both local and international music scenes.

Musically, “Amahemhem” embraces the genre’s signature sound, combining bouncy log drums, smooth melodies, and infectious rhythms that are designed to keep listeners moving. The track carries the feel-good essence that has become synonymous with Amapiano while adding a cheeky twist through its lyrical theme.

Rather than confronting negativity head-on, the song takes a light-hearted jab at people who spread rumours or unnecessary commentary. Instead of allowing gossip to bring anyone down, the artists flip the narrative by transforming the energy into something celebratory and dance-worthy.

Each artist on the track brings their own unique style to the collaboration. Airburn Sounds continues to strengthen his reputation as a creator of catchy, youth-driven hits. Mulest Vankay contribute their distinctive sonic textures, while Mellow & Sleazy deliver the signature production style that has played a major role in shaping the current Amapiano wave.

Meanwhile, Officixl RSA adds a modern edge to the track’s soundscape. Scotts Maphuma injects charismatic vocal energy that amplifies the song’s playful tone, while Boontle RSA, known for her dynamic presence both on and off the mic, rounds out the collaboration with a performance that enhances the track’s vibrant appeal.

Even before its official release, “Amahemhem” has already begun gaining traction across nightclubs and social media. A rising #AmahemhemDanceChallenge has started circulating online, with dancers, influencers, and fans creating energetic routines inspired by the song’s lively rhythm.

According to Airburn Sounds, the intention behind the song was to create something relatable yet uplifting.

“We wanted ‘Amahemhem’ to feel like a response without being confrontational,” says Airburn Sounds.

“It’s really about taking those everyday situations—where people talk, assume, or spread rumors—and flipping that energy into something positive and fun. Instead of letting it weigh you down, you dance through it. Working with this team made it even more special because everyone brought their own flavor, and that’s what gave the song its personality. It’s playful, it’s honest, and most importantly, it’s for the people to enjoy and relate to.” he explained.

More than just a club anthem, “Amahemhem” carries a confident message—encouraging listeners to laugh off negativity, embrace positivity, and keep moving forward.

With its star-studded lineup, catchy production, and relatable theme, the track is poised to become a standout addition to Amapiano playlists and dance floors everywhere.
