Amapiano superstar Uncle Waffles has once again partnered with Adidas, this time leading the brand’s highly anticipated Spring 2026 Superstar campaign. The collaboration marks another major milestone in her rapidly growing international career and further cements her influence as a global cultural icon.

The latest campaign comes after Uncle Waffles first joined Adidas in 2025 as part of the brand’s prestigious Lifestyle portfolio. Since then, the partnership has continued to flourish, with the DJ becoming one of the most recognizable faces associated with the brand’s modern identity.

Born Lungelihle Zwane in Eswatini, Uncle Waffles’ rise to fame has been nothing short of extraordinary. Her journey began in 2021 when a viral video showcasing her energetic DJ set quickly captured global attention. Almost overnight, she transitioned from performing at local gigs to becoming an internationally recognized artist.

Over the past few years, Uncle Waffles has evolved from a viral sensation into a respected DJ, producer, and performer who has helped take the Amapiano genre onto the global stage. Her performances have become a staple at some of the world’s biggest music festivals, including Coachella and Glastonbury Festival. She has also hosted her own curated shows, “We Love Waffles,” which continue to draw massive crowds.

In the new “Superstar: The Original” campaign, Uncle Waffles joins a prestigious lineup of global icons. The campaign features appearances from celebrated figures such as Samuel L. Jackson, JENNIE, Kendall Jenner, and Baby Keem.

While the campaign has an international reach, Uncle Waffles plays a particularly important role in representing the South African rollout. As the face of the regional campaign, she brings a unique homegrown perspective to the legendary Adidas Superstar sneaker, bridging the gap between global fashion heritage and local street culture.

The campaign’s visual style features striking black-and-white photography that pays homage to the original 1970s Superstar colourway. This artistic direction highlights the timeless nature of the sneaker while reflecting Uncle Waffles’ bold and stylish persona.

With an intense international touring schedule that spans Europe, North America, and Africa, Uncle Waffles continues to prove that her influence goes far beyond music. As the Spring 2026 campaign rolls out worldwide, her partnership with Adidas confirms her status not only as a musical powerhouse but also as a global fashion icon representing African talent on the world stage.
