DJ Maphorisa has once again proven why he remains one of the most influential figures in South African entertainment—this time, not through music, but through an extravagant celebration that left the industry buzzing. The superstar producer celebrated his 38th birthday with a luxurious all-black–themed party titled “Xmas Came Early,” and it was nothing short of iconic.
Hosted in true Phori style, the event was grand, stylish, and filled with the biggest names in the music industry. Guests arrived to an impressive display of Gusheshe 325i models, with DJ Maphorisa making his entrance in one of the classic machines. The lineup of Gusheshes wasn’t just transport—it was part of the décor, setting the tone for a night of heritage, nostalgia, and kasi luxury.
On social media, Maphorisa kept things simple yet powerful with a caption that summed up the night:
“Xmas Came Early.”
And indeed, it did—for both him and his guests.
Inside the venue, the décor was pitch-perfect, sticking strictly to the all-black theme. Black drapes, black balloons, elegant installations, and moody lighting turned the space into a sleek celebration haven. Pharoah Group, one of the country’s top luxury car dealerships, had a striking presence at the event, adding a glossy touch of class to the room.
Fans and supporters were also treated to glimpses of Phori’s entrepreneurial ventures, including a display of his newly launched Mad Money Rolling Paper, as well as merchandise and branding from his Tshepo Jeans collaboration for OVI. It was a celebration of his birthday—but also of his growing business empire.
As expected, industry heavyweights came out in full force. Among the performers and DJs who kept the dance floor alive were Oskido, Kelvin Momo, Nia Pearl, Zaba, Tshegu, Thatohatsi, and Tracy. The energy was unmatched, with each act bringing a unique flair to the night.
Beyond the music, Phori made time to personally greet his invited guests—showing love to stars like DBN Gogo, Bassie, Babalwa M, Kabza De Small, and many others who came to celebrate with him.
“Xmas Came Early” was more than a birthday party—it was a statement. A celebration of success, collaboration, culture, and the empire DJ Maphorisa continues to build. With luxe cars, powerful performances, business showcases, and star-studded appearances, it was a night truly befitting one of Amapiano’s greatest pioneers.
