South African Amapiano sensation Scotts Maphuma has once again sent social media into a frenzy — but this time, it’s not because of a scandal. The “Sya’Waver” hitmaker recently dropped a steamy new music video that has Mzansi women completely losing their composure.
The much-talked-about video, released on 5 September 2025, features an all-star lineup including Uncool MC, Mluusician, dlaLA regal, and Shaun Stylist. But what really had fans talking wasn’t just the catchy beat or high-energy performance — it was Maphuma’s shirtless appearance that stole the show. With his chiseled abs and confident dance moves, Scotts had ladies glued to their screens and lighting up the comments section.
A short preview of the video surfaced on 15 October via X (formerly Twitter), shared by a user who joked about the star’s ripped physique, claiming, “Scotts Maphuma has an 18-pack.” The clip quickly went viral, sparking hilarious yet flirty responses from female fans who couldn’t get enough of the star’s toned body.
One fan wrote, “Y’all wanted to burn me at the stake for saying he’s hot,” while another quipped, “I might want him a little bit.” The reaction proved just how much of a visual impact the Amapiano artist made — beyond just the music.
The video has already racked up over 2.7 million views on YouTube, securing the number 20 spot on the YouTube Music Global Top 100 chart in South Africa. Over on Spotify, the track has been streamed more than 1.2 million times, marking another milestone for Maphuma and further cementing his status as one of Amapiano’s hottest acts.
Scotts Maphuma continues to be a force in the music scene, blending infectious beats with irresistible star power. And if the reaction to this latest video is anything to go by, Mzansi hasn’t seen the last of the frenzy he can cause — both on and off the stage.
