Celebrated Amapiano DJ and producer, DJ Melzi, has addressed rumors suggesting a familial connection between him and IEC Commissioner Dr. Nomsa Masuku. The talented artist, whose real name is Tumelo Mphai, has decisively clarified that there is no relationship or affiliation between him and the embattled political figure.

In recent weeks, speculation has been rife about DJ Melzi allegedly being the son of Dr. Masuku, a prominent figure currently under investigation by the Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation (SCCI) unit for her alleged involvement in a R1.2 million fraud case related to her previous role at Standard Bank. This rumor gained traction across social media platforms, prompting DJ Melzi to set the record straight.

Taking to his social media channels, DJ Melzi issued a statement to his fans and the public, emphasizing the importance of respecting his family’s privacy. He expressed frustration over the unwarranted intrusion into his personal life and the false narratives being spread online.

“Recent rumors and speculation about my relation to Dr. Masuku are completely unfounded and untrue. I would like to clarify that I have no affiliation or relationship with Dr. Masuku and am not involved in any way. Furthermore, I would like to mention that my parents are very private and appeal to all, not to involve them in social media platforms,” DJ Melzi stated.

DJ Melzi’s statement underscores his commitment to protecting his family’s privacy while dispelling the rumors that have caused unnecessary distress. He firmly requested that his fans and the public refrain from dragging his parents into baseless gossip, highlighting that his parents lead very private lives and deserve respect and consideration.

The timing of these rumors is particularly sensitive, given Dr. Masuku’s ongoing legal troubles. She has appeared in court multiple times as her trial continues, drawing significant media attention. DJ Melzi’s proactive approach to distancing himself from the scandal demonstrates his desire to maintain a clear and focused public image, free from the distractions of unrelated controversies.

DJ Melzi has a strong stance on protecting his family’s privacy reflects his integrity and respect for their personal boundaries. As he continues to make waves in the Amapiano scene, DJ Melzi remains focused on his music career, unperturbed by unfounded rumors and committed to upholding his family’s dignity.
