Semi Tee, the amapiano sensation, has officially announced his independence after a prolonged period without releasing significant new music. After navigating various challenges with his previous record label, Semi Tee is now ready to take control of his career and make a fresh start as an independent artist.

In a heartfelt announcement, Semi Tee shared his excitement with his fans, stating, “It’s been 3 years of not releasing a proper project after all the ups and downs with the previous record label … today I’m proud to announce that I’m finally independent.” He went on to express his enthusiasm for this new chapter in his life, saying, “So let’s celebrate together!! I’m dropping my album titled RAMAILA on the 14th of June 2024.”

Semi Tee, born Tumelo Ramaila, has made a significant impact on the South African music scene with his unique sound and style. His music is a vibrant blend of electronic beats and amapiano sounds, creating an engaging and memorable listening experience. Known for his energetic rhythms, pulsating basslines, and catchy hooks, Semi Tee has a knack for infusing his tracks with emotion and depth, setting him apart from his peers.

The announcement of his independence and the upcoming album has created a buzz among fans and music enthusiasts. Semi Tee’s journey has been marked by his breakout single, “Labantwana Ama Uber,” released in 2019. This track, a satirical critique of societal issues, quickly became one of South Africa’s biggest anthems, cementing Semi Tee’s place in the industry.

RAMAILA, his forthcoming album, is highly anticipated and marks his first major project as an independent artist. The title of the album, which is also his surname, hints at a deeply personal and introspective body of work. Fans can expect a collection of tracks that showcase Semi Tee’s growth and evolution as an artist over the past three years.

As Semi Tee embarks on this new journey, his supporters are eagerly awaiting the release of RAMAILA. The album is expected to deliver the same infectious beats and melodic brilliance that have defined his career, but with a renewed sense of freedom and creativity.

Semi Tee’s announcement of his independence and the release of RAMAILA represents a significant milestone in his career. It’s a testament to his resilience and determination to continue making music that resonates with his audience. As he steps into this new phase, the music world is keenly watching to see how he will continue to shape the amapiano genre and beyond.
