Major League DJz is a South African hip-hop/kwaito music group made up of twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere, who have made a name for themselves in the music business with their diversified and distinctive djing style. The twin siblings were born on January 3, 1991, in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

On Tuesday the DJs revealed they had not been remunerated for their previous performance, but expressed gratitude to their followers for the positive reception they received in their mission to expose the genre to a global audience.“Me and my brother would like to inform you that we will not be doing our residency in Ghana this year [due] to the presidency not paying us a single cent from our residency last year. I know everyone has been asking but they have left us with a very bad taste about coming to Ghana. It’s been a whole year and nothing,” read the statement.

“We have nothing but love for Ghana and the movement we started there but people like the presidency take advantage of people who are always trying to do good. Thank you all for the support.”

In another post, the DJs expressed how they felt it was unfortunate for them to come to this decision.“Sad but this is our reality. Such an amazing movement for the culture. And our governments are on such good terms. We don’t even need visas to go from South Africa to Ghana and vice versa.”
