Solly Moholo Opens Up About His Forthcoming Amapiano Album. The 64-year-old from Soshanguve in Tshwane, whose real name is Solomon Molokoane, just wants to bless unborn babies. The Robala ka Kgotso hitmaker said many kids have ended up in demonic cults and the only way the next generation can be saved from joining is by praying.

In 2022, Solly left Mzansi in stitches when he announced that he’d be switching to amapiano. He said he’s still making amapiano but also prays and follows the word of God.

He said he doesn’t have a rate for his performances, but those who want to book him can negotiate with him.Solly said he’ll be releasing an album soon.“I’ll be releasing an amapiano song as well that fights against the killings of police,” he told Daily Sun.

Solly Moholo is one of South Africa’s most loved and prolific traditional gospel musicians. Born Solomon Molokoane in Soshanguve, Pretoria, he is a loyal member of the Zion Christian Church and a popular live performer known for his trademark ZCC uniform and ‘mokhukhu jive’. As a talent scout and producer he has helped upcoming artists like Winnie Mashaba and Johannes Mamabolo. Never far from the spotlight, Moholo is a vocal critic of piracy and xenophobia, as well as a fervent supporter of the ANC and an all-round man of the people. In late 2009 his life was spared by four gunmen in a hostage drama because they loved his music.
