In 2022, Solly left Mzansi in stitches when he announced that he’d be switching to amapiano. He said he’s still making amapiano but also prays and follows the word of God.
He said he doesn’t have a rate for his performances, but those who want to book him can negotiate with him.Solly said he’ll be releasing an album soon.“I’ll be releasing an amapiano song as well that fights against the killings of police,” he told Daily Sun.

As a talent scout and producer he has helped upcoming artists like Winnie Mashaba and Johannes Mamabolo. Never far from the spotlight, Moholo is a vocal critic of piracy and xenophobia, as well as a fervent supporter of the ANC and an all-round man of the people. In late 2009 his life was spared by four gunmen in a hostage drama because they loved his music.
