Rethabile Condems How Amapiano Opened The Industry To Untalented Artists.Rethabile Nomalanga Khumalo, is a South African singer-songwriter mononymously known as Rethabile. She rose to fame after being featured on a single “Umlilo” by DJ Zinhle, which has been dubbed 3× platinum by RISA with over 9 million YouTube video views.

Rethabile Khumalo condemns how Amapiano genre opened the industry to lots of artists, especially the untalented artists.During a sit down with Gogo Skhotheni and her mother Winnie Khumalo, the singer says the genre as made the talented musicians unnoticed.

“I feel like in the music industry there’s a lot of untalented people now because the amapiano genre brought us some sort of people. Someone can arrive and get song of the year and us, the real ones, we are still waiting,” she said.

Speaking to TshishaLIVE about her mother, Winnie, the star says she is lucky to have a mom who is in the music industry, as it helps her career.“I’m so lucky to have Winnie Khumalo as my mother because I have someone who understands the journey for an artist, the ups and downs of the journey. I have watched her go through ups and downs in her career and survive them. That’s how I know I can and I will too.
