Josiah De Disciple On The Challenges He Faces Since Going Solo. Josiah Makoela is a South African DJ and record producer commonly known as Josiah De Disciple. He is best known for his time with the Amapiano DJ duo, JazziDisciples, alongside Mr JazziQ. The duo split in 2018 to focus on their individual music careers.
Going solo as an independent artist has not been an easy journey, the DJ and producer admitted. “It’s been ups and downs,” he told TshisaLIVE.
“First, I had to deal with the fact that I have to do this on my own and I had no-one on my side, so that put a lot of doubts in me. Also, being alone, doing things yourself and finding the right features, those were the challenges during my solo career and it affected me.”
Since the split of music duo JazziDisciples in 2020, many fans have been itching to find out what transpired between Josiah and JazziQ.“People want to know what’s going on, so I have been avoiding studio sessions where I would be asked. I just want to focus on the music.”
