Lady Du Reveals Why She Won’t Have An Album Launch. Duduzile Ngwenya, the lady long famous by her adopted stage name DJ Lady Du, is a South African disc jockey and songwriter. Although she started her career at the age of 9, it wasn’t until several years later, in 2020, that she gained national attention

Lady Du took to her Twitter account to share that she will not be marketing her new album through a launch, reason being that she wants to see her fan base to strategize how she moves. “So I decided to not have a launch not market my album first, told my team I want to see my fan base to actually strategise how I move and what songs they like without any of my influence. We are on 6 hits now that I can see are running Thank you to everyone streaming,” she wrote.

She recently addressed that awkward moment when rapper K.O mentioned her in a diss track. “No man should ever come for a woman’s bread and butter, no matter what the situation is. We all don’t have the same set-up. I’m not signed to no record label that helps push my music, so, yes, my music might be dated, but it did what it had to. I respect people and educate where I can.

“What I achieved in one year is something any woman should be proud of. I’m not being boastful, that’s not my character, nor do I feel like I have made it. It took me 15 years to make it. I made it when I was giving up on music. I worked hard to get to where I am for some1 to diss,” wrote Lady Du.
