The end Of Amaroto? – Zuma And Reece Reportedly Involved In A Fight. Reece Madlisa and Zuma are the individuals behind the surprise rise of amapiano musical duo, AmaRoto. The word is a tsotsi taal term for rats, which is commonly used in townships to describe the large rats which run amok in certain areas of South Africa. One of the townships which is known for having a rodent issue is Alexandra, which is located in the north of Johannesburg.

Amaroto duo Reece Madlisa and Zuma have reportedly parted ways after being involved in a fight. The duo are one of the dominant Amapiano duos. Reece Madlisa and Zuma became household names through songs like Umsebenzi Wethu and Sithi Sithi. The pair has since performed on stages across the country and became known as a dynamite duo. But this year things have taken a turn as the duo goes their separate ways. The two were reportedly involved in a fight that almost got physical at one of their gigs at Recharge, and ended up not perfoming. Watch the clip below:

After rumours of a dramatic split resurfaced. Reece Madlisa officially made the split clear by sharing details of his upcoming solo EP titled Kwaito Nama Medi set for release in the first week of February. The five-track project features the likes of Six40 & Classic Deep, Khanyisa Jaceni, Jabulile, Shuger, Letso, and luuDadeejay however does not feature his long-term friend Zuma.

Last year, Reece Madlisa and Zuma, the kwaito-amapiano duo that’s collectively known as Amaroto were their major milestone. They dominated the stage at Megalo, one of the most popular and happening night spots in Jozi. But they weren’t there just to perform, they were there to put pen to paper on a new record deal with Sony Music Africa. Appropriately, the duo’s latest single is titled “Megalo” and has become somewhat of an anthem about partying it up at the venue. @SAHHExperts tweeted: “Amoroto are now signed to SONY Music Entertainment, this was confirmed in the early hours of this morning at Megalo,” shared @SAHHExpert. “Amaroto have upcoming projects coming out soon.”
