K.O Reacts To Claims That He Made R70 Million From ‘Sete’ . Ntokozo Mdluli, known professionally as K.O, is a South African rapper. He began his career as a member of Teargas, a hip hop group which released its debut album titled K’shubile K’bovu, followed by Wafa Wafa, Dark or Blue and last album Num8er Num8er.

K.O has reportedly made R70 Million with his hit song, Sete.A tweep revealed that the rapper made a huge profit off the song and got booked with over 990 shows. “K.O made R70 Million with SETE so far including airplay, bookings, streams, and views. He was the most booked artist last with over 990+ shows excluding international bookings,” reads the tweet.

The information sparked debates and left people divided as many found it hard to believe.Sete is a hit and it did well on various music charts, however, the statistics raised doubts.Mr CashTime saw the tweet and replied with a cap emoji, which is assumed to mean that the information is not correct.“This Mitchell & Ness (cap emoji),” he wrote.

A few days ago, K.O charted the Twitter trends list after tweeps found a song titled Feeling for You by Ghanaian artist Reefer Tym and claimed it had a similar beat to the rapper’s hit song SETE. SETE has landed K.O in the number one spot on radio charts for weeks, and while he is supposed to be riding that wave, the rapper has had to clear the air on whether he copied the song.

Taking to his Twitter timeline,  he set the record straight by revealing he purchased the beat on an online platform. “How artists/beatmakers collab in today’s largely virtual music industry. I bought the #SETE beat on an online platform via @Calliemajik‘s page (original producer). Discovered other artists had used it so we replaced some sounds to make mine unique.

“I hold full unlimited rights to the license of the instrumental I bought, which is why the artists who put out their own versions rightfully cannot dispute mine because we’re all governed by the same or lesser copyright. Normal practice in today’s music world,” he explained.

The rapper released the single featuring Blxckie and Young Stunna ahead of his Skhanda Republic 3 (SR3) album launch on September 15 last year.
