The multi-talented producer is nudging his way into the Amapiano mainstage with consistent hits and working with some of the best artists in the country. Born and raised in Marokolong Hammanskraal, Amogelang Thorne Chabangu developed a passion and drive for music. This then gave birth to the ABIDOZA brand. With over 10 years of experience in the South African music industry his first major production came in 2018 when he produced the hit song Baby Boy with Tumza D’Kota and Tsitso.
Producer Abidoza is living his dream.Through a string of strong collaborations with stars such as Cassper Nyovest and Major League DJz over the years, producing chart-topping songs. However, the star started from the bottom to be where he is today. The music producer took to social media to share a huge throwback of himself back in 2015 selling music CDs.
Recently the 25-year-old collaborated with global Afrobeat star Davido on CKay’s new single, Watawi. The song is making strong rounds internationally. “Working with Focalistic, Ckay and Davido is a huge achievement for myself. And also being approached by them was proof to me that I am doing something right, in my own little corner. This was proof that my hard work, silent moves, the sweat and being consistent are shining through,” he said.
His music journey started in 2010 as a DJ.“Even with such success at such a tender age, I am still dreaming big. I want more, to work with artists such as Alicia Keys and TEMS, among others. This drive that is in me won’t let me sleep until my desires are met. I believe that my hard work has moved me closer to achieving this dream that is within me. I believe it will happen so, and I am definitely ready and I am willing.”
