5 Amapiano Stars Set To Take Miami Stage By Storm. Amapiano music has gained a huge following overseas. The music genre, which is a sub-genre of house and jazz music, originated in South Africa before making its way to several parts of Africa. Several international artists including Diddy, Usher, Swizz Beatz, and Alicia Keys have been spotted getting down to some of the biggest amapiano songs.

Some of South Africa’s biggest performers will be heading to America in a few months for the “world’s biggest afrobeats festival”. Afro Nation Miami is taking place at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. The two-day festival – which will be held on 27th and 28th May 2023 – will be headlined by Nigerian superstars Burna Boy and Wizkid.

Mzansi talent will also be taking to the stage at the event. Musa Keys, Focalistic, Major League DJz, and Drake’s personal favourite, Uncle Waffles, will be making an appearance on the ‘Piano People Stage’. Vigro Deep and Gqeberha duo, TxC, will also feature. According to the festival’s website, concertgoers can expect “the best artists in Afrobeats, Hip Hop, RnB, Dancehall, Amapiano, Afro House and more”.

Focalistic’s ‘Ke Star’ remix with Davido also made it on the Billboard music charts in America. It featured on the Top Triller Global Charts in 2021. Uncle Waffles has also become a favourite to Drake as he has even endorsed her. While Major League DJz are friends with many American stars.
