Sizwe Alakine Disagrees With Lady Du’s Father On DJ Zan-D On Will Smith’s Actions At The oscars. Will Smith shocked the entertainment world by mounting the stage during the live broadcast of the Oscars and hitting Rock over a joke about the actor’s wife. Half an hour later, Smith was awarded the best actor Oscar for his role in King Richard – the movie industry’s highest honour for a male performer. The announcement was greeted with cheers and applause from the crowd of industry insiders.

While there was drama at the Oscars, following Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, many celebs have taken to social media to share their views and opinions on the matter. DJ Zan D who is also Lady Du’s Father, blasted the fact that Will took things personal forgetting that it is a comedians job to make fun of people. Sizwe Alakine however, had a different opinion saying Chris has actually been on Will’s case and it was about time that he reacted to it. “No Mfana. Ngiyakhala. Kunini bamnyela untanga??? Especially Chris rock. Since since. Hayi Fok. He snapped. Yes. But this whole time he was a nice guy about everything and we made fun of him. Now that he did something about it we still mad. Nah gents. That’s his wife dog,” he wrote.

Smith could face expulsion from the Academy for the open-handed slap, which came moments before he was handed the best actor award for his role in King Richard – an announcement greeted with cheers by the audience.”While we would like to clarify that Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused, we also recognise we could have handled the situation differently,” a statement said.

The Academy, the body that hands out the Oscars, said it would hold a vote on what action should be taken against Smith over the globally televised assault, which marred Hollywood’s most important evening. “The Board of Governors today initiated disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Will Smith for violations of the Academy’s Standards of Conduct, including inappropriate physical contact, abusive or threatening behaviour, and compromising the integrity of the Academy,” the statement said.
