List Of Amapiano Artists Nominated For The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2022. Three of South Africa’s biggest stars are locking horns in a battle for the coveted Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, in the Favourite African Star category. The award show, which would be held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, will also be broadcast on NickToons DSTV Channel 308, on April 13 at 01:30 p.m.
The 2022 Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards nominees have been announced and a couple of South African celebrities made it to the list. Amapiano rapper Focalistic has been nominated at the awards. Focalistic is probably one rapper who has best blended his hip hop style with Amapiano, blowing across the continent too. President Ya Straata has penetrated the Nigerian market and attained global recognition, as he was roped in by YouTube and MTV to perform in the 2021 Africa Day Concert.
Major League DJz have also made it to the list. League DJs have maintained relevance and rejuvenated their sound in tune with the current Amapiano trend. The Twins started off as hip hop deejays, but are currently dabbling in Amapiano, touring the world with their YouTube hit show, Amapiano Balcony Mix.
Uncle Vinny is competing with Ntando Duma’s 4-year-old daughter Sbahle Mzizi, toddler and internet sensation Sassy Taylor Morrison and TikToker Witney Ramabulana for the Favourite African Kidfluencer nod.
