Lady Du Receives Backlash For Always Announcing Celebrities’ Deaths . Duduzile Ngwenya, popularly known as Lady Du is a South African Amapiano singer, songwriter, vocalist, and DJ. Her father DJ Choc, is a veteran RnB disc jockey. He influenced her passion for music. At the age of 9, Lady Du started working on her music career but failed to gain recognition in the South African music industry. In 2020 after many years of singing, Lady Du had her her breakthrough.

The amapiano music star has been slated for prematurely announcing the deaths of several South African celebrities on social media. This, even before an official statement has been released to the public. On Sunday, 6 March, Lady Du caught heat for sharing a premature post paying tribute to DJ Dimplez. Her name topped the Twitter trends lists.

Meanwhile, media personality Hulisani Ravele has hit back at tweeps who make premature social media postsWithout mentioning Lady Du, the 947 presenter tweeted: “Jumping onto the TL to post heartbreak, tears & talk about someone who has passed but clearly it hasn’t been announced publicly is SELFISH & REVOLTING.“The group anxiety & sheer fear you rip through the timeline is painful. Unless you can say a name after your emoji just WAIT”.She continued: “Call a friend, text someone, do anything except come onto a public platform to express shock over something that will clearly impact society-at-large but they just don’t know it yet.“Don’t defend your knee-jerk reaction to grief, ni wrong. And you don’t care”. It wasn’t after a while when she started to catch flame from Black Twitter. See reactions:
