Mandisa Radebe, popularly known as DBN Gogo is a South African female DJ and producer who gained attention after she was featured on the Channel O Lockdown House Party in 2020. Prior to her feature on the popular Live show, she had had successful stints at DJing until her big break. Her outstanding performance on the show drew so much attention to her, causing her to become one of the most talked-about female DJs in South Africa from 2020 into 2022.
While the attention is on DBN Gogo, she sparked dating rumours with Focalistic after she shared a video of them spending Valentine’s Day together. As seen in the video, DBN Gogo was graced with a bunch of flowers and roses in a romantic atmosphere with Focalistic opening a bottle of what looked like champagne.
To confirm that the two were together or are actually in a romantic relationship, Focalitic commented on the tweet with pictures of them together and what their day was like together. Focalistic wrote: “Vrostana thata my cry bebe” which translates to I love you so much, my babe.
Joining Spotify’s Equal Music Program also led her to gracing the Spotify billboard in Times Square, New York, something she’s super-proud of. Speaking about her success, DBN Gogo, real name Mandisa Radebe, said even though she had been working hard towards achieving her dream, she had never expected to reach stardom so soon. “It’s really crazy, it’s something I can’t really explain. Just looking back thinking about the hard work, the tears and the sweat and no sleep … I mean we still don’t sleep but it’s like the struggle was worth it, even though it’s not over yet. As much as it looks really great, there’s still so much more to be done, I don’t take it for granted every single day of my life. I work very hard, I’m good at what I do and people love that,” she said.
