Focalistic Reacts To His Latest Song With Msaki Reaching Major Milestone. Spitting over simmering amapiano tracks since 2017, South African rapper Focalistic real name Lethabo Sebetso has taken rap music into brand new terrain with anthems like 2020’s “Ke Star.”

Kabza has since been trending on social media after he dropped a teaser of the song on social media. One half of Scorpion Kings has released a song together with Msaki and Focalistic titled ‘Mtakabawo’. Msaki brings the effort of the Amapiano King, Kabza De Small, and the King of the street, Focalistic on the new track, band it is unquestionable as to why the song is topping the charts. The song is number 1 on dance music on 5 Nights Chart. Taking to social media to react to the major milestone, Focalistic thanked Kabza and Msaki for the hit. Check it out:

Asanda Lusaseni Mvana known professionally as Msaki, is a South African composer, singer and songwriter. Born and grew up in East London, during her childhood she was involved in musical activities. Singing in her Xhosa mother tongue, Msaki’s lilting voice aims to capture the sadness and disappointment felt by many after the showdown between police and strikers at the Marikana platinum mine 110 kms (68 miles) northwest of Johannesburg. Box Office: ‘Scream’ Debuts to Bloody Impressive $30.6 Million “Scream,” a reimagining of a horror franchise that appeared to have run out of steam, dominated the box office, earning a scary good $30.6 million.

Now Msaki has completed her second album, the double Platinumb Heart, which was launched on November 20. The release comprises one mostly acoustic disc, subtitled Open, and one that engages with electronic dance music, subtitled Beating. As well as a rich voice and original material, Msaki’s music stands out for lyrics often characterised by explicitly political discourse. She’s written powerfully about Marikana (Blood, Guns and Revolutions), corruption (Anisixabisanga with The Brother Moves On), gender-based violence (At Stake) and more. Even songs dealing with more individual issues are underpinned by a deliberate ethos of Black pride, cooperation and anti-consumerism.
