Amapiano star Zuma has issued an important warning to fans, promoters, venues and event organisers after becoming aware of what he says are false and unauthorised bookings being circulated under his name.
The popular musician took to Instagram to release an official statement addressing the situation and distancing himself and his management team from several alleged bookings scheduled for 5 September 2026 in Mpumalanga.
According to Zuma, neither he nor his management team was aware of or had authorised the bookings in question. He also made it clear that no deposits or payments had been received for performances at the venues that were reportedly being advertised.
In his statement, Zuma wrote: “My team and I have been made aware of unauthorised and false bookings being circulated for 5 September 2026 in Mpumalanga. Neither myself nor my management team are aware of or have authorised any of these bookings.”
The artist further listed the venues allegedly connected to the unauthorised bookings, including Power House, Strausser PPG, Royal Palm Park, Bhova and Kabokweni Colourfest.
Zuma also stated that his team had not received any deposits or payments from any of the listed venues, raising concerns about bookings that may have been arranged without the knowledge or approval of his official management.
The statement further identified the promoter involved as AA Agency, with Zuma and his team urging all relevant parties to exercise extreme caution.
“We urge all venues, promoters, event organisers and relevant parties to exercise caution and not accept or confirm any bookings for Zuma through this individual/agency until verified with our management team,” the statement continued.
The warning is an important reminder of the risks surrounding unauthorised bookings in the entertainment industry. Artists and their teams can often become victims of individuals falsely claiming to represent them, potentially leaving promoters, venues and fans confused or financially affected.
