TNK MusiQ have given their supporters a long-awaited update, confirming that their highly anticipated debut studio album is officially taking shape and that the first disc of the project has been completed. The Johannesburg-based Amapiano duo shared the exciting news on Instagram, giving fans a closer look at the progress behind what is expected to be one of the biggest milestones of their career.
The update arrives as anticipation continues to build around the body of work the duo has been preparing. While the album title, release date and further details remain under wraps, the confirmation that Disc 1 is complete marks a major step towards the project finally reaching listeners.
“Album Iyeza ✌️🔥 Our debut studio album. Disc 1 is COMPLETE. This one is for everyone who never stopped asking us ‘when’s the album dropping?’” the duo shared, directly acknowledging the supporters who have continued to follow their journey and patiently ask when a full-length project would arrive.
TNK MusiQ also used the announcement to recognise the many people involved in bringing the album together. The duo thanked the producers, engineers, featured artists and other creatives working behind the scenes, making it clear that the forthcoming project represents a collective effort and an important chapter they have been building towards for some time.
Formed by producers Siseko Njenge, popularly known as Kyle De Producer, and Thabo Ndlovu, known as T Man RSA, TNK MusiQ have established themselves as prominent figures within South Africa’s ever-evolving Amapiano landscape. Based in Turffontein, Johannesburg, the duo has become closely associated with the Sgija sound, combining forceful percussion, infectious rhythms, melodic elements and a distinctive production approach.
Over the years, TNK MusiQ have steadily built a catalogue that has connected with listeners and placed them alongside some of the genre’s recognised names. Their Ask & Receive series has played an important role in their journey, allowing the duo to showcase their musical growth and creative direction.
Projects such as Ask & Receive 3 have received strong attention, while songs including “Abo Nokthula” have further contributed to their growing reputation in the Amapiano space. With their sound continuing to evolve, a debut studio album now presents an opportunity for TNK MusiQ to deliver one of their most complete musical statements yet.
The completion of Disc 1 suggests that there is still more work to be done before the full project is ready. However, the latest update is enough to give fans hope that the long wait for the duo’s debut album may finally be nearing its end.
For now, TNK MusiQ have made one thing clear: the album is coming. With the first disc officially complete and the creative process continuing, supporters will be eagerly waiting for the next update as the duo prepare to open an exciting new chapter in their journey.
