Award-winning producer and Amapiano trailblazer De Mthuda has officially released his highly anticipated EP, Noise, marking a major moment for one of the genre’s most influential architects. The eight-track project arrives after a carefully planned multi-week rollout that kept fans engaged with a series of weekly releases, gradually revealing different layers of the producer’s evolving sound.

The complete release of Noise brings De Mthuda’s artistic vision into sharp focus, delivering a body of work that blends soulful production, rich instrumentation and emotionally driven storytelling while staying true to the essence of Amapiano.

At the centre of the project is “Baleka,” a standout collaboration featuring fellow Amapiano heavyweight Ntokzin and acclaimed vocalist Nobuhle. The record reunites De Mthuda and Ntokzin, whose creative partnership has helped define some of Amapiano’s most celebrated moments. Their signature chemistry is once again on full display, pairing polished production with infectious grooves, while Nobuhle’s powerful, soulful vocals add emotional depth to a song destined for both dancefloors and playlists.

Speaking about the project, De Mthuda said:

“Noise represents a new chapter for me. Every song on this project carries its own energy and story, but together they reflect my journey as a producer and the evolution of my sound. Working with such incredible artists made the process even more special, and I hope listeners connect with the music the same way we connected while creating it. From the very beginning, my goal was to make a project that feels timeless while staying true to the soul of Amapiano.”

Across its eight carefully curated tracks, Noise highlights De Mthuda’s ability to balance innovation with authenticity. While his unmistakable production style remains at the heart of the EP, the project also benefits from an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Sam Deep, Zar Keys, Spumante, Mnqobi Yazo, Mpumyza, Mas Musiq, DJ Maphorisa and Acatears. Each feature adds a unique flavour while reinforcing the producer’s reputation for crafting cohesive, emotionally resonant music.

Rather than chasing trends, Noise demonstrates De Mthuda’s commitment to refining the sound that has made him one of South Africa’s most respected producers. The project feels both familiar and forward-thinking, reinforcing his position as one of the driving forces behind Amapiano’s continued global growth.
