Amapiano heavyweight De Mthuda has officially postponed the release of his highly anticipated EP, Noise. The project, which was originally scheduled to arrive on 31 July 2026, will now be released on 7 August 2026, giving fans an extra week to wait for one of the year’s most anticipated Amapiano projects.

The producer has been building momentum for the EP over the past few weeks by releasing several singles, including “Noise,” “All Of Us” featuring M.Que, “Uze Nobani” featuring Kammu Dee, and most recently “Nkanyezi”featuring Mnqobi Yazo, Farmer and El Maestro. Those releases have generated excitement among listeners, who were eagerly counting down to the EP’s original launch date.

While the delay may come as disappointing news to many fans, anticipation for the project remains stronger than ever. De Mthuda has built a reputation for delivering polished, timeless productions, and supporters are hopeful that the extra time will ensure Noise arrives exactly as the producer envisioned it.

Over the years, De Mthuda has cemented himself as one of the pioneers of Amapiano, helping shape the genre into the global phenomenon it is today. His catalogue includes some of the movement’s biggest records, with classics such as “John Wick,” “Ebumnandini,” “Abekho Ready (Maplankeng Reshuffle),” “uMsholozi,” and “Gijima” continuing to resonate with fans years after their release.

His signature production style, characterised by deep basslines, soulful melodies and infectious log drums, has earned him widespread respect within the industry. Whether working on solo productions or collaborating with some of South Africa’s biggest artists, De Mthuda has consistently demonstrated why he remains one of the genre’s most influential producers.

Although fans had been preparing to stream the project on 31 July, the revised release date means they will now have to wait until 7 August 2026 to experience the complete EP. Judging by the quality of the singles already released, many believe the extra week will be worth it.

The postponement also gives the recently released tracks additional time to build momentum before the full project arrives. Songs like “Noise” and “Nkanyezi” have already been warmly received, with listeners praising the producer for maintaining his signature sound while introducing fresh musical ideas.

For De Mthuda, Noise represents another important chapter in a career built on consistency and innovation. Every project he releases carries high expectations, and this EP is no different.

While the wait has become slightly longer, excitement surrounding Noise has not faded. Fans can now mark 7 August 2026 on their calendars as they prepare to finally hear the complete project. If De Mthuda’s recent releases are anything to go by, the EP promises to deliver another collection of quality Amapiano music that will dominate playlists and dance floors alike.
