Babalwa M continues to reach new heights in the South African music industry as her hit single “Bo Thata” has officially been certified Double Platinum. The achievement marks another major milestone for the talented vocalist, whose soulful sound has made her one of the most respected voices in the Amapiano genre.

The Double Platinum certification is shared by Babalwa M alongside collaborators Stixx and Nvcho, whose contributions helped transform “Bo Thata” into one of the standout Amapiano records of recent years. The trio recently received their new Double Platinum plaques, celebrating the remarkable success of a song that has resonated with fans across the country.

Since its release, “Bo Thata” has become a favourite among Amapiano lovers, thanks to its smooth production, heartfelt vocals, and infectious rhythm. The record perfectly showcases the chemistry between Babalwa M, Stixx, and Nvcho, resulting in a collaboration that continues to enjoy impressive streaming numbers and widespread support.

For Babalwa M, the latest certification is another testament to her consistency and growing influence within the genre. Often referred to as the “Queen of Private School Amapiano,” she has built a reputation for delivering soulful performances that effortlessly blend emotion with the signature sounds of Amapiano.

Her journey to stardom began gaining momentum with the release of the collaborative EP Bayeke alongside her partner, acclaimed producer and DJ Kelvin Momo, in 2020. The project introduced her unique vocal style to a wider audience and established her as one of the genre’s brightest rising stars. Since then, she has continued to impress with memorable collaborations and standout solo performances.

“Bo Thata” is yet another example of Babalwa M’s ability to create timeless music. Her soothing vocals complement Stixx’s polished production and Nvcho’s contribution, creating a track that has remained popular long after its release. The Double Platinum certification reflects the song’s lasting appeal and the strong connection it has built with listeners.

The success of the record also highlights the continued growth of Amapiano on both local and international stages. As more South African artists receive multi-platinum certifications, the genre continues to strengthen its position as one of the country’s biggest musical exports.

With another prestigious accolade now added to her growing list of achievements, Babalwa M shows no signs of slowing down. Her passion for creating authentic, soulful music continues to earn her recognition and admiration from fans and fellow artists alike.

As “Bo Thata” celebrates its Double Platinum status, there is little doubt that the song will continue making waves in the music industry while further cementing Babalwa M’s place among Amapiano’s leading voices.
