South African Amapiano musician Zuma has issued a public apology after missing two scheduled performances due to unexpected travel delays at the Lesotho border. The artists addressed the situation through a statement shared on social media, expressing regret to both event organisers and fans who were looking forward to their performances.
Zuma, known for his energetic stage presence and growing influence in the Amapiano scene, explained that the issue occurred while they were travelling from Lesotho back to South Africa. The delays at the border prevented them from reaching their destinations in time for their scheduled appearances.
In the statement shared by Team Umshini, the team acknowledged the inconvenience caused to the organisers and supporters of the affected events.
“We would like to extend our sincere apologies to the teams at LIV Sandton and Vaal Vibes, as well as to the AMAROTO supporters and promoters, for missing our scheduled performances,” the statement read.
According to the duo’s management, the delay happened while they were passing through Lesotho border control. Despite efforts to resolve the situation and continue travelling as quickly as possible, the circumstances were beyond their control and ultimately prevented them from arriving at the venues on time.
The statement continued by acknowledging the disappointment experienced by both fans and organisers who had anticipated their performances.
“We fully understand the disappointment and inconvenience this may have caused to the organisers and everyone who came out in support. Please know that this situation was beyond our control, and every effort was made to resolve the matter and reach the venues as quickly as possible.”
The artist also expressed appreciation for the continued support they receive from their fans and event partners. Their message emphasised gratitude toward the organisers who continue to book and support their performances across the country.
