South African Amapiano star Young Stunna has revealed an exciting new chapter in his creative journey, sharing that he fully directed the upcoming music video for Imali Entsha (G-Mix) while also appearing in it. The visual, which features collaborator Blue Pappi, is expected to drop soon after the artist recently shared a teaser with fans.
The announcement marks a significant milestone for Young Stunna, who has built a reputation as one of the most exciting voices in Amapiano but is now stepping into a new role behind the camera. Speaking about the experience, the artist admitted that the moment feels both exciting and nerve-wracking.
“First time fully directing a video while I’m part of it,” Young Stunna shared with supporters. Despite his excitement, he admitted that the upcoming release has made him nervous. “I’m still nervous af because it’s about to come out,” he added.
According to the artist, the idea for the video started with a vision he struggled to fully believe in at first. He explained that translating the story he had imagined into a visual format initially felt overwhelming. When he tried explaining the concept to his friends, he doubted whether the vision could actually be achieved.
However, encouragement from those closest to him helped turn the idea into reality. “When I was explaining the story of the video to my bros, I kept feeling like it’s impossible,” he said. “But my bros gassed me up because they know it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Everything started connecting from then.”
The project also saw collaboration with stylist Ncaza, who reached out to help shape the visual identity of the video. Young Stunna explained that he already had specific looks in mind before the stylist joined the production. Together, they worked on the outfits for the video, spending about two days finalizing the styling.
Beyond the professional contributions, the project also included personal touches from his everyday life and community. Young Stunna revealed that some of the items used on set came from favors within his neighborhood and even from his own home.
“Few favours in the hood too and some cutlery from my mom,” he said, explaining how they managed to build a full set for the video.
For the artist, the most meaningful part of the project was working alongside people he has known for years. Many of those involved were childhood friends, making the experience deeply personal.
As fans await the release of the “Imali Entsha (G-Mix)” video, Young Stunna’s directorial debut promises to showcase not only his musical talent but also his growing creative vision behind the scenes.
