DBN Gogo continues to prove that her influence extends far beyond the DJ booth. The Amapiano powerhouse recently reflected on the success of her annual festival, Kwa Gogo, celebrating its third year as one of the most exciting and meaningful events on the local music calendar. What began as a bold idea has now grown into a cultural movement, drawing thousands of music lovers together in celebration of sound, community, and creativity.

Taking to Instagram, DBN Gogo shared an emotional message filled with gratitude and disbelief at how far the festival has come. “Year 3 and I am still in utter disbelief that we are really throwing a festival!” she wrote. “My heart is pumping custard and I am completely overwhelmed with the love and support you guys continue to show this little big baby of ours.” Her words captured the passion and personal investment that have made Kwa Gogo such a special experience.

The festival’s success was driven by collective effort, something DBN Gogo made sure to acknowledge. She thanked everyone who bought tickets, worked on site, performed, or simply took time out of their day to be part of the moment. “We do not take it for granted and are ever so grateful,” she added, reinforcing that Kwa Gogo exists for the people who support it year after year.

DBN Gogo also showed appreciation to the brands and partners that helped bring the vision to life, including Nike, Play Energy Drink, Extreme Drink, Mentos SA, MTV Base South, and Johnnie Walker Africa. Their continued support has played a crucial role in elevating the festival’s production and reach, helping Kwa Gogo stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the country’s biggest music events.

Behind the scenes, a dedicated creative team ensured the festival ran seamlessly. DBN Gogo gave heartfelt thanks to her dream team and to @iam_cobyh, crediting him as a key force in turning the vision into reality. “There is no Kwa Gogo without you,” she wrote, underlining the importance of collaboration and shared belief.

On stage, the festival delivered unforgettable performances, with artists like Scotts Maphuma, 2wo Bunnies, Ch’cco, Daliwonga and others bringing high energy and unforgettable moments that kept the crowd moving from start to finish. Each performance reflected the spirit of Amapiano and the culture DBN Gogo has worked tirelessly to champion.

As she signed off her message with “Same time next year,” it was clear that Kwa Gogo is far from done. With three successful years behind it, DBN Gogo’s festival has firmly cemented its place in the music industry—one that continues to grow, inspire, and unite.
