Rising star Zee Nxumalo continues to prove why she’s one of South Africa’s most exciting young talents. The singer recently celebrated a major career milestone — headlining three Brutal Fruit shows across different cities in South Africa.
The shows, which took place in October and November 2025 (exact dates not specified), marked a significant moment for Zee as she stepped outside her comfort zone by performing with a live band for the first time. Despite her initial nerves, the events were a resounding success, earning her praise from fans and industry peers alike.
Taking to Instagram, Zee reflected on the experience with heartfelt gratitude, writing:
“Brutal Fruit said, ‘Zee, headline all 3 cities around the country… BUT with a live band.’ I said:
Out of my comfort zone.
I’ve never done this before.
I’m scared.
But when God shows up… He shows off.
Thank you so much to my BIGTEAM.”
Her words perfectly captured the mix of humility, faith, and determination that has made her a beloved figure in the Amapiano and Afro-pop scenes. Fans praised her for embracing the challenge and delivering unforgettable performances in each city.
Zee Nxumalo’s headline shows come on the heels of a string of achievements, including chart-topping hits, viral social media moments, and growing recognition for her powerful vocals and relatable storytelling. Known for hits like “Pholile” and “Thula Mabota”, Zee continues to evolve as an artist while staying true to her sound and message.
Each of the Brutal Fruit events highlighted her versatility as a performer. Performing live with a full band allowed her to showcase her vocal depth and emotional connection to her music — a side fans don’t always get to see in her club-driven Amapiano tracks.
With her career reaching new heights, Zee Nxumalo’s courage to take risks and her unwavering faith in her journey have inspired many. As she continues to grow as both an artist and performer, one thing is clear — she’s only just getting started.
Fans can look forward to more live performances and new music as Zee Nxumalo keeps setting the bar higher, proving that when talent meets faith and hard work, the results are truly magical.
