Amapiano powerhouse Nobantu Vilakazi continues to raise the bar in South African music, and her latest collaboration proves she’s not slowing down anytime soon. The talented vocalist has joined forces with the iconic DBN Gogo for a brand-new single titled “Abafana Base Goli,” and fans can’t wait for it to drop.
The song brings together a stellar lineup of Amapiano heavyweights — Felo Le Tee, Fake’Well, and Soul Jam — promising an energetic fusion of unique sounds and styles. With this all-star cast, “Abafana Base Goli” is already shaping up to be a certified banger for the summer season.
Taking to Instagram, Nobantu Vilakazi teased the collaboration with the caption:
“A Collision Of Two Dope Worlds * Abafana Base Goli SZN.”
Her post immediately sparked excitement across social media, with fans celebrating the reunion of two of Amapiano’s most dynamic women. Nobantu’s vibrant vocals and DBN Gogo’s unmatched production prowess have proven to be a winning formula before, and their latest link-up seems destined to dominate dancefloors and playlists alike.
While no official release date has been announced yet, the snippet Nobantu shared online already has listeners buzzing. The track reportedly blends rich log drum patterns, smooth melodic layers, and infectious hooks, staying true to the soulful yet high-energy spirit of Amapiano.
This collaboration also comes at a time when both artists are thriving individually. DBN Gogo has been on an incredible run, performing at top international festivals and solidifying her status as one of the leading female DJs on the continent. Meanwhile, Nobantu Vilakazi continues to build her reputation as a hitmaker, following her standout features on chart-topping tracks and her growing influence as a solo artist.
“Abafana Base Goli” — which translates to “The Boys from Joburg” — is expected to celebrate the vibrant energy of Johannesburg, the birthplace of Amapiano, while showcasing the genre’s global appeal. With its star-studded lineup and powerful female presence, it’s clear this record will be one to remember.
Fans are urged to keep an eye out for the official release date, as “Abafana Base Goli” promises to be one of the hottest tracks to close out 2025 — another major win for both Nobantu Vilakazi and DBN Gogo.
