It is not only goverment and non-profit organizations that give back to the community; artists joined the initiative of giving back to the community. Artists play a huge role in building communities, either through collaborations or donations.
DJ and Producer, Jazzworx, recently released a statement on social media revealing his plans to give back to the community, to show his gratitude for the support he has received so far in his career.
In a statement shared on social media, Jazzworx shared his plans to give back to his community in the form of free performances either at schools or in the communities. Jazzworx and Thukuthela (real name Kamohelo Monese) are not only doing this for entertainment purposes but to inspire young minds, fostering unity through music and sharing their journey with the public.
“We are excited to announce that we would love to come directly to your schools and communities to perform live, and this is free! This is not just about entertainment; it is about inspiring young minds, fostering unity through music, and sharing our journey with you.”
While Jazzworx made it clear he is not seeking monetary contributions, he, however, invited corporate and government institutions to help in supporting the initiative.
He asked fans to come up with the tour name, as they do not want to use theirs. They asked if fans could give different names that mostly inspire them, or from their province.
“Let’s come up with the tour name, we don’t wanna use ours, so we will let you give it a name. We can give it different names, which are mostly inspired by you or as per your province! Last week of August, we rock & roll!”
Their first stop will be in Gauteng schools, and the second stop will be the province that has more requests. Their wish is to cover all 9 provinces.
Together, Jazzworx and Thukuthela have produced several chart-topping hits, including Vuka and Isaka (6 am) and Bengicela, which reached number one on several major South African charts. They’ve also collaborated with other prominent artists such as MaWhoo, Oscar Mbo, GL_Ceejay, and Dlala Thukzin.
