Watch! Focalistic Speaks On The Resounding Success Of His One Man Show. Lethabo Sebetso, professionally known as Focalistic, is a South African rapper. He rose to prominence after his single “Ke Star”, reached number 16 on Billboard Top Triller Global charts. Born and raised in Pretoria, Sebetso was a footballer prior pursuing a music career as a rapper, released his debut studio album Sgubhu Ses Excellent (2020).

Not long ago, Focalistic celebrated the success of Straata Nation Address, his one-man show hosted at Pretoria National Botanical Gardens on the 16th of September. The event saw 15000 music fans in attendance.

In an interview with Slikour On Life, President Ya Straata spoke on the resounding success of Straata Nation Address and his consistency. He also delves into the concept of “Amapiano to the world”, his relationship with Jagermeister, the formation of PSL, uplifting emerging artists and more.

Amapiano, arguably South Africa’s hottest music genre and cultural export right now, has caught up like wildfire across Africa and worldwide. From the clubs to the streets and music charts outside of South Africa, more artistes continue to draw influences from the Amapiano sound to create their music.

“Amampiano is spiritual for us, and I don’t know how that happened. He gave me one of his guys’ numbers and said, ‘One day, we’ll make a song together’’. The song became number one in Nigeria, and I was performing at the time in Nigeria. It just spiritually happened – the universe – and that’s where we’re going with music; everything has to make sense like that,” said Foca.
