When artists decide to do a joint project, they are those in the spectrum where such can be expected. But who would have thought that Mthunzi and Kabza De Small can have such a hit on their bucket list? Mthunzi has been famously known to make Afro-Pop and House music whilst Kabza for his amapiano sound. Now a joint project called ‘Isimo’ is here, and everybody is excited about it!
The pair have brought on more collaborators on the project, which includes the likes of Young Stunna and Mawhoo. The lead single to ‘Isimo’ is ‘Isibusiso’, which is a love song about acknowledging your partner as “isibusiso”, meaning “blessing” in Nguni. The pen game brought on by Mthunzi speaks volumes to anyone that is in love. Never mind his melodic voice that makes anyone listening to the song feel the oasis in it. The chorus is such a great sing-along that can make anyone catch along on it. When it comes to Kabza De Small’s production on the song, it goes without saying, as he is known as the pioneer or rather the King of the amapiano sound.
‘Isimo’ has other beautiful songs such as ‘Amazwe’ and ‘Imithandazo’ that can certainly be expected to be other anthems to come out of the project. Lovers of music and Mthunzi’s fans applaud him on this leap of fate he has taken. It is a process that he has embraced and has managed to capture with such great immaculateness.
