South African DJ and producer and Amapiano impresario, DJ Maphorisa has made it clear that he and his artists are not performing at AfroPiano Fest in an Instagram post where he labelled the promoters as “disrespectful”.
The DJ announced his boycott of the upcoming Afropiano Fest scheduled to take place in Zambia. In his Instagram statement, DJ Maphorisa boldly expressed his frustration towards the event organisers and promoters who are seemingly trying to make money out of South African artists.
This comes after the first Amapiano Fest organised by Vertex Events in the country hosted a two-day event in April this year. The artist lineup included DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Young Stunna, Daliwonga, and Felo Le Tee, Mas Musiq, Boohle, to mention just a few.
