She became an internet celebrity after she posted a video of her dancing on her social media account. Mphela is currently one of the South African most celebrated acts alongside Sho Madjozi and others.
It all began when the dancer caught the attention of fans with a viral video of her dancing on social media. She has since become an expert in dancing for Amapiano and other genres including Gqom, Kwaito, and Pantsula. Her new single Hannah Montana is a classic track where she features BoiBizza, Chley, Nobantu Vilakazi, Bontle Smith, Visca, Shaun MusiQ, Ftears, Mellow And Sleazy. It was recorded and released in 2023 and has started making a trend out there.
Speaking on how the song about and why she chose the name, Kamo said: “was all about making a dope vibe, and it was an introduction to my alter ego “Kiki.” That’s where I made the connection to the show Hannah Montana where the main character lives two lives. Through my single I kind of created the distinction between Kamo Mphela and Kiki but expressed it in a fun way.”
Kamo has her whole life ahead of her. Nonetheless, the young dancer is already thinking about her future. She recently stated that apart from making dope Amapiano hits, she also wants to explore fashion designing and have her own clothing line and shoe store.
