DJ Jaivane Issues A Statement Regarding Claims Of His Arrest. DJ Jaivane’s real name is Luyanda Mlonzi. He was born on the 9th of July 1992. Jaivane is from Diepkloof in Soweto. In the early days of his music career, the DJ got little or nothing from the disc jockey hustling, but he had to provide for him family. Today, he is one of the most booked DJs in the Amapiano space.

It was reported by Daily Sun that DJ Jaivane was arrested over the weekend following claims of being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and firing in the public space. However, the star has taken to social media to address those claims. Issuing a statement, Jaivane’s team wrote that the star is at home while his attorneys are attending to the matter and the possible withdrawal of charges against the DJ. Read the statement below:

The event happened at West Park Cemetery in Johannesburg during the burial of late Dj Vintos (Hector Buthelezi). It was reported by Dailysun that Jaivane alongside his four friends were arrested for firing unlicensed guns at the said funeral. The five were captured subsequent to shooting firearms during the entombment of late Hector “DJ Vintos” Buthelezi at Westpark Cemetery in Joburg.Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo affirmed five suspects were captured at Westpark on Sunday, 20 March.

He said: “The suspects are dealing with indictments of ownership of unlicensed guns and ammo, as well as releasing a gun in a public region. They are relied upon to show up in Brixton Magistrates Court soon.”DJ Vintos who was covered by loved ones got killed by obscure shooters last Sunday in Orlando East, Soweto.
