1 Drip Gogo’s real name is Nhlanhla Moqhayi.
2 He is 22-year-old.
3 Hailing from Emalahleni, Drip Gogo’s journey as a traditional healer started when he was a child. “I was four; I used to interact with higher beings but I didn’t understand what was going on with me. It intensified in my teens … and I was shown the direction to being a healer. I began with my initiation when I was 16, very soft and slowly at the time. At 19 that’s when I went all in,” he told Sowetan publication.
4 Earlier this year, Drip Gogo was on Date My Family reality show matched up with Mbali on the episode, and the audience quickly fell in love with her after their first date. Sadly, Drip Gogo reveals that they have since broken up. “It was an amazing experience. As much as I fell in love with the person I chose, things didn’t work out due to cultural differences. I’m a traditional healer and come with a lot of things that she wasn’t ready for, he revealed.
5 Drip Gogo is also a professional chef. He graduated from a culinary art school at 18. “My great-grandmother was a chef and that’s where the love came from. Growing up, when she cooked I was always there with her,” he said.
6 Drip Gogo is currently signed to DJ Sumbody through a joint venture with Sony Music. He features on DJ Sumbody’s song Iyamemeza. “A lot of people were surprised to discover that I have been making music because they thought I was on Date My Family for the exposure. But when they find out that I have been in the industry for a while they have softened their tone,” he said.
