JayJayy and W4DE have joined forces for 2SPIN, a collaborative EP that brings together two exciting names connected to South Africa’s ever-evolving Amapiano and electronic music scene. The project showcases their musical chemistry while tapping into their shared love for energetic, groove-driven production.
The collaboration arrives during a period of growing activity for both artists, with W4DE continuing to make his mark through Amapiano releases and collaborations, while JayJayy continues to expand her presence across the local music landscape.
JayJayy has already worked with several prominent names in the scene, further establishing herself as an artist to watch. Among her recent appearances is “imission” from 4 DA STREETS!, where she features alongside Uncle Waffles, Royal MusiQ, Zee Nxumalo and Shakes & Les. The collaboration adds to a catalogue that continues to showcase her versatility and ability to connect with different sounds and artists.
The title 2SPIN gives the project a playful and energetic identity, immediately hinting at the movement and momentum behind the collaboration. Rather than stretching the concept across a lengthy album, the EP format allows JayJayy and W4DE to deliver a concise body of work focused on rhythm, atmosphere and dancefloor energy.
For W4DE, the project also adds another chapter to a catalogue that includes his 2024 EP 2Spin, as well as several collaborations within South Africa’s electronic music space. His production-driven approach has allowed him to move comfortably across different sounds while maintaining a strong connection to club culture.
One of the most intriguing elements of 2SPIN is the meeting of JayJayy’s distinctive presence with W4DE’s production-focused sound. Their partnership creates a modern Amapiano feel while retaining the electronic textures and high-energy character associated with the wider South African dance scene.
The result is a compact collaborative project designed for listeners who appreciate contemporary South African dance music. With its emphasis on grooves, atmosphere and energetic production, 2SPIN gives both artists an opportunity to explore their creative chemistry while adding another collaborative milestone to their respective catalogues.
For fans of Amapiano, Sgija and South Africa’s constantly evolving electronic sound, JayJayy & W4DE – 2SPIN is a project worth adding to the playlist.
