South African producers Senjay and Leandra Vert have officially reunited for their latest Amapiano release, “Mkokotelo,” featuring Smash SA and BanzoSinas SA. Released today, September 2, 2026, through Urban Deep Records, the single brings together four artists whose sounds are closely connected to Pretoria’s vibrant Amapiano scene.
Senjay took to Instagram to announce the release, sharing the official artwork and encouraging fans to stream the new record across digital platforms. Keeping the announcement short and direct, the producer wrote, “Mkokotelo Out Now Everywhere ‼️🚨”, signalling that the highly anticipated collaboration had officially arrived.
The release marks another chapter in the creative partnership between Senjay and Leandra Vert, who previously worked together on “Inhliziyo” alongside Marcus MC in May 2024. Their latest collaboration builds on that musical connection while introducing Smash SA and BanzoSinas SA to the mix for a fresh four-way collaboration.
“Mkokotelo” arrives as a high-energy Amapiano offering that brings together the different identities and strengths of its contributors. Born Ofentse Dhlamini and raised in Pretoria, his musical journey began at a young age when he started playing drums at church at just eight years old. By the age of 12, he had already started producing music independently.
