In a momentous achievement that reverberates through the South African and African music industry, Musa Keys  has been nominated for a prestigious Grammy Award. At just 23 years old, this talented artist has not only made history as the youngest male South African nominee but has also become the trailblazer for the groundbreaking Amapiano genre. 

The recognition comes in the form of a nomination in the esteemed Best African Music Performance category, acknowledging his remarkable contribution to Davido’s chart-topping hit ‘Unavailable.’ This nomination affirms Musa Keys as an unrivaled force in the music world, propelling him onto the global stage and solidifying his status as a true icon. 

To celebrate this monumental occasion, Musa Keys was honoured at an exclusive Grammy Nomination Celebration on Tuesday 23rd January 2024. The unforgettable evening, paid tribute to the incredible achievements of Musa Keys and showcased the outstanding South African and  African talent making international waves.

The festivities took place at the exquisite Zioux, an award-winning champagne and cocktail lounge located at The Marc, cnr Rivonia Rd and Maude St in Sandton. Its captivating interiors and ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for this grand celebration. Amidst the glamorous surroundings, guests were indulge in the finest culinary delights, curated to tantalize the taste  buds and satisfy the most discerning palates. 
This star-studded soiree attracted the crème de la crème, as industry luminaries came together to support and celebrate their very own. The event was hosted by Anele Mdoda and Grammy winner Zakes Bantwini, adding an extra touch of prestige to the affair. “I am thrilled and honoured to be part of the African Nominees Celebration Campaign 2024 ahead of Grammy Week. The representation of South African artists and the growing presence of African talent at the Grammys is a testament to the vibrancy and richness of our music. It is incredible to see how African music has played an integral role in shaping the global music  landscape. I congratulate all the Grammy nominees and wish them the best of luck on this remarkable journey,” said Zakes Bantwini. 

The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as this year’s Grammy Awards have a stellar list of South Africans nominated such as Musa Keys, Tyla, Just 6, and Trevor Noah. We are proud to showcase these incredible South African talents alongside other African nominees such as Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake. 

The Grammy Nomination Celebration was an unparalleled prelude to the imminent Grammy Awards ceremony and serves as a reminder of the boundless talent our nation and Africa possess.
